Bay windows combine 3 or more window panels, which are set at angles, with the centerpiece being the widest.

Usually, the centerpiece is a stationary picture window, positioned to completely transform your home and offer a vast view outdoors. Yet the other panels — usually casement or double hung windows — include two operating sashes.

The bow windows design is a combination of 4 to 6 window panels. These are set side by side, and curved to create a rounded appearance. This gives them a wider view than bay windows.
